PDN Top Knots | Grand Prize Winner!
A few months ago I received an email from PDN magazine, an American magazine for professional photographers which was first published in 1980. The message read: “Congratulations on being selected as a PDN Top Knots Finalist!” and I was so excited that my engagement photo, “Love Portrait in Tokyo | Yuki + Yohei” would be featured in that magazine!
I couldn’t believe it until the day I actually saw my images on their digital edition. I had no idea which prize I received until they published the issue and I was totally stunned when my prize was the GRAND PRIZE, which is the best prize of PDN Top Knots. What a thrill!!

i love | ketchup + mustard
After a crazy week I finally arrived Japan last evening and my first meal in Japan was sushi as usual.
I brought Tin Mustard + Sir Kensington’s Ketchup in Haven’s Kitchen‘s gift package as souvenir for my family. They are perfect combination and great gift!

I’m so excited that I will visit Tokyo again in this spring to do some wedding + family photo sessions! It should be the best time to visit Tokyo since the weather is more favorable + I can celebrate my 30th birthday with my old friends and family!!

Engagement in Brooklyn | Lindsay + David
I love an engagement photo session where the couple and their personalities are in focus. I joined Lindsay + David in their element, shooting their wonderful chemistry. My style is based on documentary photography and I photograph couples in their elements to capture their true story.
I shot them with their memories such as a LP record, a sweet handmade message card from their friend, books, posters of their favorite bands …
We also went to the cafes where they usually hang out, and Dumbo, where they had their first date.
It was a truly great collaboration with such an amazing couple. Every couple have their own stories to tell, which is why each photo sessions are unique!
I can’t wait to document their wedding day this summer!!
i love | snow
After the blog post of Cancun with tropical photos, this is the total opposite. Monotone, cold, icy winter in NYC…
Actually I really really hate winter, but the snow is an exception; it somehow heartwarming.
